FOOD presented twice at the ECOCITY World Summit 2013

Nantes is the European Green Capital 2013 and in that framework, it hosted the 10th World Summit ECOCITY from September 25th to 27th.

Proposing a platform of exchange among local, regional and governmental decision-makers, researchers and the civil society, the summit aims at bringing together all the different disciplines on sustainable cities and offer citizens to play a role.

FOOD has been presented twice during the Summit because it offers a link between health, the city (where most companies are settled and then FOOD restaurants) and sustainability.

The first intervention was a TV show format together with representatives of EVEA EcoConception and Les Créa’lters under the theme: “feeding the cities”.

The second intervention was on the 26th during the conference entitled “Health and the sustainable city: benefits of a preventive approach”. FOOD was presented under the vision of the development of our society and the consequences in our eating and lifestyles habits.

The other speakers presented initiatives and elements of context at local, national and regional levels.
